Temptation Tuesday - The Kiss

Lips, soft and begging
Ripe and ready
Needing the touch
Of the other.

A breath given
Life taken
Love shared
Between two

The first touch
Says so much
My love
Is given to you

Back To Work...

Good Monday morning...

Down came the Christmas tree, the living room is back to normal and I am determined to get back to writing. Yes, I am one of those holiday folks that puts the tree up early in Dec and takes it down before the New Year. I find, however, that it works best that way for me.

So what am I up to? Well, first I am going to sit down and plot out my goals for 2010. I'll write them out twice and tuck one away in my 2010 journal so that I can refer to it periodically in the next year, but the other copy I will tear up on New Years eve and throw into the air at the strike of midnight... I will put my aspirations into the air in the hopes they are taken by the fates and given some consideration.

I am also working hard on getting back to work on my second jaguar shifter story. My characters have been quite patient with me, much more patient than I have been with myself, but then we are our own worst critics. :)

So in the spirit of getting back to it, Trent would like to share a snippet of himself from my current WIP...

Enjoy

The voice was back. Soft and sexy, it called to him, not with his name though, it called to who he was.
Alpha, find me—mate me.
Trent fought to brush away the nagging request and focus solely on the skill of this most willing female as she gulped and tugged at the cock he had buried deep in her throat. He’d have thought the words were coming from her had it not been for the fact that her mate was currently balls deep in her lovely smelling cunt driving into her with a frenzied pace Trent could only wish for on his best days.
Alpha, find me—mate me.
The words in his head came louder drilling into him the need to find their owner. Her desperation threw him off the slow pace he’d taken in fucking the beautiful mouth in front of him. His jerky movements in and out of the sinful mouth took the female from a lovely low hum to much choking and gasping around his arousal.
Trent envisioned a massive steel door slamming closed to keep the voice at bay. He needed to get himself back under control and make this sexual experience, everything the lady had dreamed it would be. He shortened up what was sliding into her mouth by placing a hand between her lips and his thickly furred pelvis then wrapping his fingers around the root of his cock. His other hand soothed her cheek as he whispered, “slowly, doll, slowly.” His calming murmur brought the female back into focus and gave him time to breath as well.

Holiday Blog Trail

Welcome to the Holiday Hottie Blog Tour. I'm Holly, but you may call me Mistress, head elf-in-charge of the specialty division here at the North Pole. You should be coming to us from Trina M. Lee's blog.

When Serena called me to see if I would be interested in helping her with the blog tour and, of course,to check the status on her Christmas goody list, I thought, why not offer a tour of my dungeo...err, department for the tour.

So please, follow me. Stay together and no touching, unless of course you would like to be introduced to my fancy new flogger. Santa was very generous this year. heh heh.

Meet Max, the elf in charge of large ticket items and leather of all types. While Max is a quiet one, you'll be hard pressed to notice it amidst the moaning and begging. What's that? Any special talents, well he loves working with his hands. Where do you think Santa got the Cat-o-Nines...

Moving on....

Next up, let me introduce you to Riven. This elf has an talent for wrapping and ribboning. Every package is smooth, every corner is square, every line is tight. Each bow is plump and perfectly placed. His gifts are so tightly packed and well wrapped, many a lady can barely restrain herself when opening them.

Hmmm, let me guess, what are Riv's special talents? Ladies, he can tie one heck of a knot. ~sigh~

And we are walking...

Last, but certainly not least, Luc, the elf of enlightenment.

Luc is a jack of all trades. He takes out the garbage, strings lights on the trees, cooks a divine Tiramisu and loves to read. His favorite books come from Liquid Silver Books... All those sexy books are like chocolate melting on the tip of your tongue when he reads to you in the dark of the night. Yeah, Serena stops by to visit quite often.

Speaking of Serena, I wonder where she's gotten off too.

Oops, she appears to be busy... ;) Let's push on and I'll direct you to your next stop on this blog trail. Jolie Cain http://joliecainauthor.blogspot.com/

Remember, leave a message on every blog along the way to win a prize. If you loose your way, fear not, there is a list of links at the bottom of this post to get you back on track and finally,

Thank you for joining us for this holiday blog fun and don't forget to drop in for the Holiday Hottie Chat

Tuesday Temptation

It's Tue again and do I have a temptation for you!

Huntress by Trina M Lee

Run don't walk to check out this free read on Ms. Lee's website. You won't be sorry... Now on to the tempt. A tiny snippet, raaarrh!

“You want me. I know you do. Tell me how bad you want me.” Raoul’s demand was as dominant as his touch. His husky voice and the words he spoke had my whole body thrumming with desire.

The Challenge gets another 5 star review!!

I was delighted to find another 5 star review for my baby, THE CHALLENGE, this weekend in the Just Erotic Romance Reviews newsletter! Check out some of the wonderful things Reviewer L.T. Blue had to say about the story!

The Challenge is filled with lots of action, suspense, sex, and shifters making this a great short read. The sex between Bastian and Marina was very hot and raunchy... Bastian made sure he kept Marina (and me) satisfied. Ms. Shay did a great job with The Challenge and I would love to read more stories about this were-jaguar society.

A hardy Thank You from this tickled pink author!! Now I'm back to work on LeAnn's story. ;)

Only A Week Away...Woot!

Friday, Dec 11th I'll be jingle jangling my way though the blog tour below, eagarly searching out all those sexy elves, busy making the toys for Santa to leave under my tree...

I sent my list to Santa a while back, you know to give him a chance to stock up on batteries. Aren't I helpful. ;)

I hope to see everyone on the tour, I'll have a few busy elves of my own here, hard at work...you don't want to miss it.

As a special treat, there will be a chat going on at the end of the trail. Any questions you always wanted to ask a writer of erotic fiction? Stop in. :)

Sunday Scribblings - Beauty

"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, mum."
You say it, but is it really true?

If my head held nary a hair, would I still entice you?
If my bum was big, and my feet so small,
Could you see me, would I still enthrall?

If my teeth sat wide, and I took a crooked stride
If my eyes were googly, and my belly like jelly
If my snout stuck out, and I wheezed all about

Would you be quite put out?

"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, mum, it's really true...
I love you because, you are you!"

Come check out more beauty at Sunday Scribblings

Okay, So I'm Just A Bit Technologically Challenged...

Here's me six months ago, when my ereader decided it had given it's all and chose to take the techno train to the big byte-o-rama in the sky.

What would I do? I have skads of books in mobi format, waiting to be read and my pocket pal was no longer...

I, of course, looked into buying a new one, but let's face it, I'm a stay-at-home mom/author and money is well, beyond tight. Ereaders, computers and all the happy gadgets that make this lady smile are wisely, but sadly, pushed to the bottom of the wants list.

As the months wore on those sad, unread stories called out to me in their wonderful imaganary voices, read me - read me!! I wanted to cave, to find a way to get a new reader. There had to be a way to make my want into a need.

It's research for my writing? It keeps me sane in an insane world? If you loved me, you would let me..., I could get a case of blue 'eye' balls from not reading enough! I tell you I must have it!!!!

Again, wisely, food and shelter trumped ereaders.

So what's a person to do if they have all of these wonderful ebooks in non-pdf format and they lose their ereaders?

See here's where my less than full knowledge of technology becomes embarassing...some of you are probably saying, duh, you go to the, in my case, mobipocket.com site and click on software. When you do guess what you find???

Software to open those babies on your PC!! Woot! Nope not kidding, it is really there and I became the proud runner of mobi on my pc just yesterday. Now I can start reading all the books that have been waiting somewhat patiently for my return!
Now, this is me today -->
How do I spell relief? READING READING READING!
Have a great day!!

Here It Is, The Tuesday Temptation...

Gem Sivad has done it again! The author of the awesome, Eppie finaling, Intimate Strangers, has released another western tale!

Wolf's Tender - book one of the Bounty Hunters series, has tempted this reader since Gem first shared it birth over on the Liquid Silver Books forum. Check out the blurb and excerpt below taken directly from the authors site-thanks Gem, and tell me you are not tempted....

BLURB: Wolf's Tender
Rough and tough Charlie Wolf McCallister knows he needs to get laid, when the prim and proper school teacher with a sharp tongue, starts looking good to him.
When Naomi Parker’s students are snatched from their school by marauding Comancheros, the only way to get the girls home safely, is to hire the half-Kiowa bounty hunter.
But Naomi has no cash and Mr. Charlie Wolf McCallister won’t take her I.O.U. His price seems a bit steep when Naomi must choose between her virtue and her students’ lives.
Cad that he is, Charlie Wolf operates on the philosophy that a bird in hand is better than no bird at all, and the longer he’s around Miss Naomi Parker, the more he wants this particular chickadee from the Sparrow Creek Ladies Academy. And so he offers to trade service—for servicing.
When one straight-laced spinster, tenders her body to one cynical sometimes savage, the unexpected bounty is love.

EXCERPT: Wolf’s Tender
“I don’t work for free, teacher. How do you plan to pay me?” He raised his leg and flexed his muscles brushing hotly against her through the material that separated his flesh from her core. Given the state of his arousal, it was a dangerous move.
“I get paid once a month at the school.” She looked worried. “I’m not sure now who will tender my pay. It’s not clear to me what’s going to happen.” She continued to stare over her shoulder, her female parts riding his thigh, his cock stretched and elongated against his leg.
Well it’s clear to me what’s going to happen here in about two minutes if you don’t get the hell out of this barn. But Charlie didn’t say it aloud. Instead he looked at her face, scrunched in worry, her teeth nibbling her bottom lip, and had the almost uncontrollable urge to lift her up and bury his face between her breasts (they were looking more like melons to him now).
All sense had left his mind. He was concentrated on one thing…pussy and how to get into it.
First, I need to get her out of that godawful wire contraption she’s wearin’… His cock was full and demanding release, and so it was with real reluctance that he offered her one last chance to get out.
“How you get paid is none of my concern. I don’t take i.o.u.’s, in poker or for chasing danger, so if you don’t have something to offer me in payment, you best be leaving, and you best do it now.”
Her chin tilted up and she repeated, “I need to hire you,” and then she turned back to her task and slid down his outstretched leg, and he knew that she was aware of her effect on him. She grasped his boot and tugged. Well, maybe we can work a deal.

Superstitious Much?

It's Friday the 13th again and for some a day of fear and superstition. So I thought it would be fun to check out a few superstitions today...

5. Sparrows are said to carry the souls of the deceased to the after-life. To kill one means that you will be cursed.

4. Walking under a ladder - A leaning ladder forms a triangle with the wall and ground. Triangles represent the Holy Trinity, and violating the Trinity by breaking it (walking through it) would put you in league with the devil himself.

3. Black Cats - In ancient Egypt, the Goddess Bast was a black, female cat. Christians, wanting to rid society of all traces of other religions, convinced the ignorant that black cats were demons in disguise and should thus be destroyed. In the process, they also destroyed the kindly ladies who cared for the cats, believing them to be witches. Being demons, a black cat crossing your path would create a barrier of evil, cutting you off from God and blocking the entrance to heaven.

2. Spilling Salt - Salt used to be an expensive commodity used mainly for medicinal purposes. For this reason, spillage was to be avoided at all costs. The idea that it is unlucky to do so probably stems from the belief that Judas spilt salt during the last supper. Throwing spilt salt over the left shoulder is linked to its medicinal use. If it could not be administered, the next best thing was to throw it into the eye of the evil spirits that brought sickness upon us. These spirits were thought to lurk behind your shoulder, waiting for an opportunity to strike.

1. Breaking a mirror means 7 years of bad luck, unless you take the pieces outside & bury them in moonlight. Also, an undisturbed mirror in a house suddenly fall & smashes then it means that there will soon be a death.

Those are the big five in superstition land, but what about some of the other, less know ones...

* 3 butterflies together - Kind of odd, but okay then.
* A 5-leaf clover - Did anyone ever find one of these as a kid? I never did.
* Getting out of bed left foot first - Well I'm screwed then...
* Singing before breakfast - Doomed I tell ya!
* Giving away a wedding present - Does returning it count?
* An itch inside your nose - What?!

Oh Such Temptation...

Come with me, my fine friends on a trip down the temptation trail. I awoke this morning to a triple treat and it all started with a stop at today's blog on the Shapeshifter Seductions site. Savanna Kougar teases us first with her heat filled snippets of werewolfie delights... All are wonderful, but I was drawn to The Black Wolf’s Prophetess myself. Duke Zon has a whole lotta yumminess going on! Please do tell Savanna which is your favorite, then maybe we will get to see more snippets!! ;)

Next on the trail was on the same site, just further down Savanna titillates with a continuation of New Bull in Town ~ Darius Speaks. And he most certainly does speak, right to my....ahem, moving on! psst...if you haven't read any of this flash, be sure to start at the beginning, you won't be sorry!

Lastly, is a stop at The Happily Ever After blog for an erotic flash not to be missed. Skycat's lovely gift is enough to make any woman weep!

So thank you Savanna Kougar for my Tempting Tuesday!

Sunday Scribblings - Interview

Hi All,
So this weeks prompt is an interview. I love interviews! No not the dress up and go in to answer "What do I feel is a weakness of mine?" Blah, I hate those types of interviews.

The interviews I enjoy are the ones I do with my characters. Getting to know them is A number one on the list of important things to do before I start my books. Heck, I'll interview them part way through the story when I need more or clarification of an idea.

Thus, I thought I would share an interview I did with the Alpha male, jaguar shifter of my first book, The Challenge.

Enjoy...

Me: Good Morning, Bastian. You awake?

Bastian: Grrrrr

Me: Yikes, no need to be snarly, not enough sleep last night?

B: My mate needed me last night and I provided. Now, what the hell do you want.

Me: ~sigh~ What I want and what I need are totally different states of mind my
dear. ~pant, pant~

B: Ha! ~snickers~ What do you need then, sweets?

Me: stay on topic, girly. Ok, I need to ask you some questions. First, what the heck were you doing at the casino, the night you met Mari?

B: Shit, only good thing to come from that night was Mari. I was there tracking a rouge shifter. The ass munch got baked on some ganga he’d grown on the Den’s acreage and decided it would be a kick to walk down main street in his cat suit or so say his friends, but being as high as he was, he couldn't find main street, thankfully. Like we need that kind of exposure. Anyway, he ended up at a local farm, harassing the livestock. The farmer didn’t take kindly to the nuisance and shot at him, but claims that he only got him in the hindquarters. Stoner boy made it all the way to the fricking casino with shotgun beads in his ass… go figure.

Me: Well that explains what you were doing there, but why were you there rather than the enforcers?

B: Boy you are noisy aren’t cha. The enforcers were there, I just happened to be with them. And before you ask why, well, I was bored.

Me: You were “bored” so you put yourself at risk? And your guards allowed that?

B: Watch your tongue little one, I may be the leader, but I do as I damn well please.

Weeks later………..

Me: ahem?

B: Sweets, you know you rock and are the sexiest thing with those gorgeous green eyes, but baby you’ve got crappy timing!

Me: ~blushing~ Thanks and Sorry…want me to come back later?

B: one sec…. yeah she’s out for a while, ~wink~ what can I do for you?

Me: You stud! Well here’s the thing, I need more emotion from you…I know, I know, I get your stoic show of emotions, but this is a romance and we need more…

B: Blast, Serena, an alpha shows all the emotions they need to in their dominance!

Me: ~whew~ I get that, but I need more. How about we do this, other than how Mari looks, what draws you to her?

B: It’s her soft sighs, her smell, the part of her that seeps into my pores and makes me feel ten feet tall and able to do anything. She shores up the fear I’m not suppose to have. Her simple presence makes me feel whole.

Swing by Sunday Scribblings for more takes on interviews.

"And I'm spent...."

So I've finally finished my Holiday story, edited and re-edited it and it is off to my CP for further, "It's not crap." or "Chuck it and try again, dear." LOL

Seriously, I really like the story and the characters are super fun, but the took over as they normally do and insisted that I do some things I was not thinking of doing. Not necessarily a bad thing, just an uncomfortable thing for me, the author!

Now that I've finished, and have a moment to breath, I can catch up on all of the things I let slide for a few days...blogs, my family, my CP's most recent awesome chapter to critique, my family. Think they might want to see me?

Well I'm off to bed so I can start fresh in the morning.
Have a great night everyone

Sunday Scribblings - Bump in the Night

One more peek over her shoulder was all Faith needed to know she was being followed. Too many years as a single woman had made its mark on her. She was always wary of those around her, questioning the motives of both friends and enemies as well as acknowledging her stupid errors in judgment—like walking through the dark streets of her not so up to par neighborhood, alone.

The invite to a co-workers costume party had intrigued her enough to pull her into the streets of London on this cold, foggy evening. She’d hoped to meet someone, anyone who could free her mind and spirit for just a little bit. Someone who would ease the endlessly long life she seemed destined to live, but it had been a bad idea, she could see that now.

Faith went from a walk to a run, well as much of a run as her pencil thin heels would let her, as she neared her flat. She may be long lived and it may be hard to kill her, but surly there was something out there that could do the trick. Plus, she was so not impervious to pain. For that reason alone, she wanted inside, please let me get inside, before the presence catches up.

“Faithhhhh…,” A slithery voice called out from the blackest shadows.

She would not listen. She was so close to her home, to safety.

“Faithhhh,” the voice oozed out its evil request. “Love and Hope send their regrets, but you can join them…little witch.”

True darkness overtook her in the flash of time it took to blink. Her last plea to whatever powers that be was a mournful “Save me” before the sharpened steel fangs eased into the soft flesh of her neck.

My TBR/TBB Is As Long As Santa's Naughty And Nice List

Yep, it's true, my To Be Read/To Be Bought list has crept into the realm of good kids and bad kids around Christmas.

I was looking at the list of books I've read this year so far and I'm a 84. Woot! But wait, there are so many more I need to (yes reading is a need for me. hehe) experience. Paper backs, hard cover, ebooks, any and all books really, must be read by moi...

I gotten to the point where I must write down my desired reads so that I can go back and get them when time and funds allow, but I tell ya the list is sooooo long....

YAY!!!!

How long is your list?

Now back to your regularly scheduled...book!

Wednesday, September 30, 2009

What a lovely sight, right outside my window!

I have a good excuse for not writing today! My muse has seen fit to bless me with a pack of tattooed, muscly construction workers with work boots, a personal fav of mine, laying cement. Some days you just need a pick me up or an excuse maybe.

Today was that day for me. I'm battling the beginnings of a head cold...my right on time, every flipping fall, head cold. :(

See I do need a pick me up and a bit of inspiration to crank out my allotted words for today. What better of a sight than sexy men, tattoos and great big, work boots!!

Back to gawking then off to get my Darling Diva from school.

The Pale, Lifeless Hoard Of Non Readers...

So I was reading my friend Savanna's blog today, where she mused on the banning of books and she made a comment that smacked me in the head and pulled this post from me, as well as gave me an idea for a possible story! Thanks Lady Kougar!

She said: "Gee, someday, reading itself could be outlawed..."

Whoa, when I stopped hyperventilating, I thought what kind of world would this be without books? Without reading?

The love of a good book goes way beyond just learning something new or explaining how something works. Reading is a way to relax, reduce the everyday stress of, well, life! Reading can take you on the vacation you can't afford. Reading can show you alternate lives, alternate realities, histories you are to young to remember, wise words of people long dead. Reading can show you love, bring you love(yes it can).

Imagine will you a world devoid of the mental stimulation found in a book. What do you do with your free time if you can't afford to go to movies or anywhere that costs money to attend?

TV you say? Can you afford all the new contraptions you need to actually watch TV these days? What if you can't? Do we all become Zombie like people going through the motions of the day?

Gads, I hope not!

"Gee, someday, reading itself could be outlawed..."

NO! Not just no, but HELL NO! The day something like this was allowed is the day I start my life of crime!

Books are beauty, stories are a salvation and reading is a right...go out there and grab your right today!

Check out the Banned and/or Challenged Books from the Radcliffe Publishing Course Top 100 Novels of the 20th Century. Stop by your community library and pick one up or any book and enjoy!

Sunday Scribblings - Hunger

The Hunger Site

What is hunger?
I can use that word in lots of different ways to mean lots of different things...
I hunger for good book reviews.
I hunger for a bowl of cereal in the morning.
I hunger for more time with my hubby and darling diva.
All of these hungers are true. If you're an author, yes you want good reviews. If you ate early the night before, your stomach is making itself known and who doesn't need more family time...

But...

Is that the only face of hunger? Have you seen real hunger in your lifetime?

Have you seen the mother digging through the dumpster for food to feed her child?
Have you seen the family of three, four, five or more share a brick of Ramen noodles as their dinner?
Have you seen the child whose school lunch seems to him/her manna of the gods, because it is probably the only meal they will see that day?

I have seen hunger, I have lived hunger and I have felt hunger.

My oath: Everyday I will fight to reduce the hunger of the world. From the littlest task to the biggest undertaking, I will do what I can to help those who starve. Hunger must not win.

Can you see this smile!

Well I should probably play it cool, but cool is not at all how I feel. I'm more walking on air, dancing on flower petals, singing (badly) happy tunes....

The Romance Studio reviewed The Challenge and gave it five wonderful hearts! :) They liked it, they got it and I am one happy author!

http://theromancestudio.com/reviews/reviews/challengeshay.htm

I just have to leave you with my favorite line from the review...

This is a great story with a mixture of hot kinky sex, unlimited drama, and a hero and heroine who kick butt.

It made my day!!!!

Sunday Scribblings - Tattoo "Here there be..."

Crouched behind the boulder, rivulets of sweat ran down AnnaMarie’s back from the zero to sixty climb up the cliffs overlooking Lake Superior. How could this be happening to her? As was typical after a crappy night waitressing at The Pilsner, she’d taken the scenic route home, with a quick stop along the way. This beach was her favorite. During the day, she could see the Split Rock lighthouse, a standing sentinel, in the distance and the beach lie filled with agates and driftwood, perfect for her art. Tonight, her place of peace was turned into every bad chase movie she’d ever seen, including a full moon to light up the night sky.

“Anie NaMar, please do not fear, I am here only to help you.”

Sure, that’s what they all say, right before they kill you and what’s with the weird name? AnnaMarie peeked around the side of the rock to see the naked man on the ledge down and over from hers. Big and broad was how she’d describe him, all of him. Ebony hair hung to his shoulders. Iridescent green streaks intermixed with the black and matched the scales of the gorgeous ink on his back.

Purple and green wings reached from shoulder to shoulder and dropped down his back. The bottom points touched his hipbones on each side. The barbed tail curled around the outer thigh closest to her and snuck in towards his groin. As he turned, she could see wicked sharp claws digging into his ribs. Almost as if, the beautiful creature rode him like he was the host, day after day.

The icing on the cake though, was the head and face of the mighty beast. Curled around his neck, the head lay across the man’s shoulder and down his bicep. Flames burned down his arm from the creature’s nose. Violet eyes glittered in the face and appeared to be staring right at her. The most disarming feature however, was the fact that the man was glowing, from the inside out.

Come over and enjoy many more fine posts at Sunday Scribblings.

I'm In Awe...

Lot's of online stuff to do today as well as offline tasks, but I'm finally getting to surf my favorite sites and blogs, before I deal with dinner and start some more writing. So I swung by a blog I quite enjoy Swoopin' Along.

Lynda Dunham-Watkins, the blog owner, is an amazing sculptress. I just love to sit on the sidelines and watch as she creates her works and shares with us with the steps she follows, including pictures!

Clay intrigues me. So much can be done with it. I attempted a clay works class in college and quick realized that I should probably stick to writing...hehehe. Until I'm ready to try it again, and I will, I'll gladly enjoy watching Lynda create!

Check out her latest work - Wyatt Earp. http://claymama1.blogspot.com/2009/09/wyatt-earps-wip.html

Now I'm off to work on my Sunday Scribbling - Tattoos. I can't wait! I love the ink!!

I Need An Infomercial For Thicker Skin....

~Yep, that's right just smooth it on and waa-la your skin is that much
thicker. Mosquito's will cease to be a problem, surprise knives in the dish
water - no problem and those pesky opinions of others will wash over you
like
water off a ducks back!~

Yeah, if only it worked that way!

I'm finding my writers feet slowly, it seems. But that's okay, find them I will and I'll be all the better for the trials!

The power of positive thinking is my friend this week.

Have a good one!

Sunday Scribblings - Key

AnnaMarie paced the smooth stone floor trying damn hard to convince herself that she’d fallen into some unexplained coma. Even now, she could be wasting away in some hospital bed, drool running down her face, her hands curling into claw like appendages and absolutely no one there to visit her. The nurses, tired and abused, would provide sponge baths, movement to ward off bedsores and minimal conversation.

The formation of a good lie rested in the details. The more minutia thrown into a story, the easier it was to believe, but her mind wouldn’t play along. Nowhere was there a single white hospital bed, no IV poles, no nasty antiseptic smell.

Around her was a vast room, empty but for the single glass of water on a stool in the middle. Two walls curved outward creating an oval space big enough for whatever brought her here to this prison. The only thing missing was a slice of bread, a toilet and a clear picture of the unseen voice that had brought her to this place.

“Be calm, Princess Anie NaMar. I am taking you to safety,” The low, garbled voice whispered in her ear as he’d carried her off-carried off for cripes sake. What could have been big enough to literally pick her up and deposit her in this cage? She remembered the sensation of weightlessness, but figured that she was again dreaming of flying, or sex or even a successful diet. Lord knows she’d welcome both.

When she’d come too, lying on the surprisingly warm stone floor, her mind raced too conjure up a beast with enough strength to lift her bulk off the bed and deposit her here, wherever here was. As cages go, this was a brilliant one - incredibly vivid.

She peered through the clear outer wall into a dark so vast she could see nothing. It was like looking into the night sky filled with clouds. The inner wall glowed orange. The long curved stretch of wall was rolling water, infused with what she could only guess to be lava.

AnnaMarie eased back onto the floor, facing a wall so clearly wrong and wondered if her lies had finally caught up to her? Had the series of half-truths she lived with finally locked her into a prison of her mind? If so, where was the key to get out?

I Don't Normally Do This, But....

I simply couldn't resist. What do I normally not do you might ask? Write about pirates and file sharers. I go by the idea, that to give these thieves any air time is just giving them what they want and that is something I loath to do.

However, I came across this awesome blog by Shiloh Walker that speaks frankly and addresses the piracy issue down to it's barest points. What is the ultimate cost of piracy? Read here to find out.... http://shilohwalker.com/piracy.htm

Nice job, Shiloh!

Sunday Scribblings - Poetry

It had to be precise,
no more and no less.
Her mind would not allow
the simplest of deviations,
She focused on the thread of frustration
causing her stress.

She wanted to play, today.
Her friend unavailable,
Her anger grew.
The fates are so mean,
She just wanted to play.
Now she had no one,
Great, another boring day.

It had to be precise,
No more and no less.
Her mind now steeped,
with unlimited stress.

Come over and enjoy many more fine poems at Sunday Scribblings.

Just Call Me Happy...

Gilmore that is. You know the wickedly bad golfer he was before he got that sweet hockey stick golf club!

Yep, I joined my mother and my Darling Diva on the course today for nine holes ~listen to me with all that golf lingo~ Four or is it Fore? LOL

I am, without a doubt the worst golfer. My drives putt-putt about two feet in front of me and my putts go long. I'm not too bad with a pitching wedge, but it's hard to play the game with just that.

This is a short course with the max shot thingy of four, just meaning it should only take you four hits to get from the tee box to the hole and in. For the young players like my DD and the bad players like me, we max out at seven.

I was routinely at the seven mark today!

Why then do I do this crazy thing? I normally don't. However, my DD has recently taken to it and I wanted to see how she was doing, but sadly the course does not allow for golf cart drivers only...damn the luck!

On the up side DD did very well and I even got some pictures, plus I had a story idea. Hot, sweaty golf cart monkey sex anyone? LOLOLOL

Have a great weekend!
