Hope, Faith and Love...

She layers death upon us all
Her icy tears lay where they fall
And quietly we slide to sleep
Our death, our life she takes inside her keep.

Shortened days and longer nights
Our souls stay strong, ready to fight
Our shells withstand the terrible cold
Our faith awaits the new day to take hold.

With warmth from the one who travels from east to west
We hope to rise from our deep rest
Our fate decided by one not meek
Our mother’s love we shall but seek.

Pleasant Dreams...

Roses and Rain
Love Unrestrained
Eyes rolled back
Time off track
Not everything is as it seems
In this world of Pleasant Dreams...

~Wink~ It just felt like a day for poetry.

I'm posting over at Shapeshifter Seductions today,  flashing the story of Penelope, Burgess and Danny - small shapeshifters, with large needs.

Tuesday Temptation - Poetry

There is no frigate like a book

There is no frigate like a book
To take us lands away,
Nor any coursers like a page
Of prancing poetry:
This traverse may the poorest take
Without oppress of toll;
How frugal is the chariot
That bears the human soul!

~~Emily Dickinson (1830-1886)

~Wise words, are they not.~

Temptation Tuesday - The Kiss

Lips, soft and begging
Ripe and ready
Needing the touch
Of the other.

A breath given
Life taken
Love shared
Between two

The first touch
Says so much
My love
Is given to you
