It's Almost...July?!

Wow! June's about to give way to July and I've been slow to the writing I'd promised myself this summer.  Not a surprise, I suppose.  I'm a stay-at-home mom and built in friend to my only child, Darling Diva, so, much of the summer I'm lucky to spend with her, indulging in our common interests.

So far, we've finished Harry Potter week, caught up on our Dr. Who, rewatched season one of Under the Dome...in preperation for tonight's season two premiere(a must really), we're also trying to catch up on our reading.  DD has chosen to read The Hobbit and I'm digging into my, seriously long, TBR list.

Each of us is working on our separate ventures as well.  DD is focusing on her music (guitar, piano, flute and composing) while I should be writing, I've actually been working on my group blog, Shapeshifter Seductions, newsletter ~ Join Here

I've also been reviewing a contract I hope to sign soon for a short erotica I've had tucked away for a while...more on that good news later.  :)

So it's time to add writing back into my daily to do list, I guess I need to pick out a story to finish.  So many to choose from and such indecision.  But first, my July 4th blog post on the group blog for the upcoming hop.

Oh, by the way, check out the picture up top.  Totally cute, right.  It was gifted to me, recently and I just love it!  I've got the perfect picture to put in it of my bff on a certain trip to Dallas.  :)

Have a great week, ya'll!

Friday Fun ~ A Bewitching Blog Hop

This years Haunting Blog Hop at www.justromance.com is going on now!  I've join in the fun with my group blog, Shapeshifter Seductions, home to the Peakites.  If you've never stopped by, Talbot's Peak is filled with wild, wooly and wolfy characters who live to find trouble.  Below is the beginning of my scene...

“Reinforced steel pipes, heavy duty rubber tubing, a gross of nuts, bolts, S-hooks and a short Red Riding Hood costume with crotchless panties.”  Glenn set down the scanner and looked up at an impatient Nick and his blushing brother Mooney.  “Ah Nick, does Ziva know about all of this stuff?”

Are you intrigued?  If so swing on by, today through Sunday, and get Bewitched.  :)

Wicked Wednesday

I'm thinking this is more a wonderfully wicked Wednesday graphic.  This couple sparks my muse into action...

Mistress Penelope didn't normally put herself in the submissive position. However, in moments like this with her Penquino tying her to him while calling the shots and her sweet, silky mink promising a ticklish delight of sensations to come...she was their willing prisoner.

Monday Muse...

Erol circled the hidden mountain lake above Talbot's Peak.  His emerald and violet wings spread wide and cut through the cool, high altitude air.  This was the only place safe enough for a dragon to fly away his worries.  Of late, his distress was all focused on Greely and her refusal to hop-to his call. Could Karma be right?  Were his courtship skills lacking?

Wednesday Word of the Day

Spruik \sprook\, verb:
To make or give a speech, especially extensively; spiel.

~For Burgess or Dugger over at Shapeshifter Seductions.  Either, I'm sure, could make it sound sinful!~

Thursday Story Slam - The Lady in Red

Image Credit to Whitebook @ DeviantArt, titled A Christmas Story for Rezzan

The lady in red waits beneath the gnarled old tree, sure her love will return one day.
The lady in red listens for his voice on the wind, sure she will hear it in time.
The lady in red watches the sky for his graceful glide; sure she will see it on the horizon.

He’d vowed to love her beyond his very last breath.
He would be her champion in this life and onward into death.

The lady in red worries upon her knees, troubling is his late arrival.
The lady in red weeps among the leaves, firmly entrenched—deep in denial.
The lady in red withers below the branches, fearful he is lost to her.

She vowed to love him beyond her very last breath.
She would be his haven in life and in death.

The lady in red acknowledges the swift setting sun, their timing long gone.
The lady in red feels the oncoming change, their places to switch with nary a hitch.
The lady in red resolves to accept her fate, the moon once again rearranged the mates.

They vowed to love beyond their very last breath.
Be they in fur, or in feathers—in life or in death.

Bandersnatch \BAN-der-snach\, noun:
1. An imaginary wild animal of fierce disposition.
2. A person of uncouth or unconventional habits, attitudes, etc., especially one considered a menace, nuisance, or the like.

Bandersnatch was invented by Lewis Carroll in 1871 in his book Through the Looking Glass.

It's Official! A Magical Return Has Been Released

Good Morning one and all, and I do mean good!  It matters not that the sky is grey and the rain is falling, I'm one happy camper today.  There's a smile on my face and I feel like giggling!

Book number two has been released.  ~Sappy Grin~

Being a slow writer, I started to think publishing my first book, The Challenge, was a fluke.  I know different now.  I may be a turtle(a sweet and sexy one, if I do say so myself), but I keep finishing the race!  LOL

I hope you enjoy A Magical Return!

And what Tuesday would be complete without a little temptation?

Join me over at my group blog Shapeshifter Seduction for the Summer Solstice Blog Hop.  You won't want to miss the summer fun goings on in Talbot's Peak!

Titillating Tuesday

Check out some of the tempting and titillating posts going on over at Shapeshifter Seductions.  A new town has been born on our blog by the name of Talbot's Peak and our fabulous authors have filled the town with some of the most fascinating of characters.

Stop by and give it your own peek.  :)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~Burgess let the plane empty out before prying his six foot four frame out of the tortuously uncomfortable airline seat. He had almost flown in animal form for this very reason. As a penguin, he was only sixteen inches tall, weighting in at just over two pounds. As a human, he was built like an Olympic swimmer with massive shoulders and long limbs.  Rebecca L. Gillan~
~Marissa turned, just in time to catch a face full of water balloon. It drenched her hair, skin and clothes. The man standing upright in the convertible hooted in triumph. The car sped off with the man still howling like a maniac.  Pat Cunningham~
~Hidden by the trunk of a tall pine tree, he’d stalked her with his predator’s gaze as she playfully raced in circles. With utter joy, she threw her fluffy, yet sleek feline body forward, tumbling and rolling on the thin carpet of leaves and snow. Springing high, she batted at the flurry of snowflakes, her pale fur beautiful against the forest backdrop.  Savanna Kougar~
~A streak of blue, a dark and gorgeous blue belonging to an equally, if not more gorgeous man, passed by her. He too appeared to be slowed by the tourists and families headed for the door, and thankfully so, because he had exactly what she needed—six foot something of obvious muscle and no lovely lady on his arm.  Serena Shay~
~Josh leaned his elbows on the bar, burying his face in his hands. He blinked, trying to not give into the tears stinging his eyes. Frustration and angst worked intricate knots and lattice arrays in and out of his gut and up into his heart.  Solara Gordon~
