Sleep! Come Back, Sleep...

So if I was with it at all today, I would have a great Tue temptation for you, but I'm not and I don't.  All I have is a longing for sleep.
  • A full night without getting up to check on the darling diva who has been fighting off  a virus all weekend.
  • A full night sleep without worrying about how high the fever is.
  • A night where everything is normal and my sweet girl is hearty and hale.
I'm a worrier.  Especially since DD rarely gets sick.  When she does though she seems to do it large and I have the mommy fears.  But the Dr. and Grandma agree, we are doing everything we can to get her through this, but it feels like, well, not enough.

***psst, how do you know your tired?  Bullet point use gives you a mad thrill!  ;)

Sunday Scribblings - Faith

"You must believe, Je'anna Marie." The Zafting Fulgurate ran a gentle finger down along the tracks of Je'anna's tears.

"I'm trying," she sniffed. "But it gets harder each time you leave."

The helicopter blades whipped overhead sending her hair into a frenzied dance around them both.

"I know it does, but I'm careful and I'm tough. I will return to you, just as I have before."

"But what if you don't, Mama? What if you don't come home?"

"If I don't come back Je' then the powers will move on to you and your Granny Loo will train you further in their use. But have faith in my love. Know that I will do everything in my power to come back to you."

Getting Back To Work...

An early morning view of the lake
And so the wandering vacationer has returned!

The week away from everything was refreshing, invigorating and exhausting.  It's funny how after a weeks vacation I feel like I could use another week to recoup...  ;)

Anyone else get that feeling?

Thankfully, I'm a stay-at-home mom/writer and school has yet to start for my darling diva, so technically, I still have some time to kick back a little before the school year begins.

I got very little done on my writing this past week and about the same amount of reading.  I did however sit in the sun along the beautiful lake shore and enjoyed the peaceful and rhythmic sounds of nature.

It was just the break I was looking for!

Now I'm back and have lots to do and catch up on but that's cool, cause I'm ready to get back at it.   LOL, you should hear the cheers going on in my head...I guess my characters would agree!

Have a great week!

A Week in Pictures... What is this Subject Doing?

For a while, this was my blog header.  I'm captivated by the open space and the subject... Is she soaking in the sun we can't see?  Plotting her next story?  Thinking of her lover?

A Week in Pictures...

A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte - 1884  or in french Un dimanche après-midi à l'Île de la Grande Jatte - 1884 By George Seurat

Welcome to this week in pictures.

I adore photography in all of its many colors, shapes and sizes.  I could sit for hours admiring online sites that are filled with jpg's and gif's.  My walls at home are covered with prints and pics alike.

So being that I shall be out of town for the next week, I thought I would share some of the pictures that have captured my attention for one reason or another.

Enjoy and have a fabulous week...

Tuesday Temptation - Red Demon by Deidre Knight

Tempt....Tempt...Boom

Thanks be for the God's of Midnight novels!  No kidding, Ms. Knight scores much love from me with this series.  I was drawn to the first story, Red Fire, by talk of Spartan warriors and fell in love with this group of tortured souls.

Red Demon is the third installment in this series and is just as fabulous as the first.  Aristos and Julianna are a beautiful pair whose love makes you smile at every turn.  Plus, we get so many tempting peeks at upcoming stories and couples.

Definitely a story not to be missed!

A Weekend Treat...

I've scored some quiet, writing time!

Yep, Darling Diva was surprised yesterday with the offer of a weekend sleep-over at Grandma and Grandpa's house.  She flew into her room and was pack in no less than five minutes, G-ma and G-pa have the kid smack, that's for sure...  lol.

Oh who am I kidding, they have the grandparent right to say yes to all the things mom here is compelled to say no to.  We all need a weekend like that every once in a while...have fun, Kiddo!

Plus, in order to make sure everything is caught up for our vacation in a couple of weeks, my hubby is at work for a few hours today.  So you know what that means...

Uninterrupted Writing Time!!!  Woot!

Have a good weekend, everyone.  :)

Tuesday Temptation - Branded by the Texans by Savanna Kougar

Welcome to my Tuesday Tempation...

Today we have Branded by the Texans by Savanna Kougar!   I've been following Savanna's blog for a while now and as she was working through Branded she would occasionally tease us with snippets of Kylie and the boys that left this author breathing heavy.   Check it out...

Dono braced her foot against his solar plexus, then slipped both of his hands up her leg. Sweeping longer strokes, he massaged her calf, gradually including her knee.

Clenching her ass tighter, Dash slipped his thumbs over the tender inner flesh of her crack.
“Three against one. I’m liking this more and more.” Arching her back, Kylie pressed her butt against his loins.
Dash groaned. Of its own accord, his shaft nudged her twat’s petals, steamier than inside the shower stall. Controlling himself, he gently rubbed his cock’s head back and forth, and ached mightily to plunge inside her.

Branded By The Texans is sextreme temptation!
