What does a poor writer do when their characters won't settle down and play nice?

My alpha males had been giving me a fair bit of trouble lately, what with the demands for more face time in the book, more sex with the heroine than the other guy and an almost refusal to share their mate. Surprisingly, all these things are minor issues...I know! The real issue it seems is their alpha quality...they are fighting the mesh, fighting the idea that to make a perfect mating for each it takes three rather than two.

So out came the bullwhip and an unspoken threat and guess what, it worked! This time at least. I've gotten quite a bit done today while Trent sat quietly in my head allowing Rick to take the lead.

Fear not, Trent, your day is coming!

Holy hiss-fest over Catwoman?

This is what it's been like, in my head of all places, for the last several days.

I've been working on the second book, The Submission, in my jag series and my hero's have been squabbling. About everything!! They each want the heroine to themselves, they each want the first scene in each chap, they both want to be the first to have sex with the heroine, want...want...want, me...me...me, pretty soon I'm gonna write a bull whip into LeAnn's hands and let her show them what Mistress Kitty learned in the circus!

LOL...Well that quieted them down! Now boys, here's how things are gonna go...

Silent and subdued, for now, maybe I'll actually get something done!

Yeah, okay I know that probably goes without saying, but dang I am just not cagey enough to play. My kidlet recently expressed an interest in learning the game, so I did what and good ~crazy~ mom would do and I told her we would learn together.

What was I thinking???

Moves and counter-moves. Strategic placing of your bishops while your knight move around the board gobbling up the opponents pieces until whats left is a massacre.

Uncle, waving the white flag, make love not war?? Hellllllp me....

The vultures are circling my poor King...eek

And it's over. The computer on the other end of my free "easy-who are they kidding" chess wins again! What was it, less than 10 moves this time, ~sigh~

Back to the drawing board! I will learn this game....somehow.

Electronic death...I must mourn!

Drag out the black clothes, cover the mirrors, sooth my computer ~sniff~ my handheld has died!!!

She gave us a good run and stood the test of a mommy who is inadvertently hard on equipment.

And yet she persevered.

She has left a hole in the electronic gear that surrounds me and a awful lot of books unread, but I will give her a rousing hoo ya and woot woot as she justly deserves...

Problem is...What do I do now???
