Monday Muse

Tears slid down her cheeks as she set the delicate fabric inside the suitcase.  The silk panties he’d given her appeared as lonely as she, sitting next to the bra and stockings.  This was the right thing to do—she knew that.  A last look around the bedroom assured her every female accoutrement had been removed.  This was a man’s room, right down to the smell.

Through the hall, past the kitchen and into living room, every picture of them had been digitally changed to reflect another woman.  The entire apartment scoured professionally to remove every last remnant of her DNA.

 

“You ready, Agent Blaine?”

She no longer existed in his home, or his life.  Would he wonder where she’d gone?  Would he remember her in any way?  Her removal was for the best.  She may be breaking apart inside, but that was far better than another, possibly successful, attempt on his life.

Monday Muse...

“One more…” Bella-Marie bent forward ever so slightly, willing the black spots to cease. The atmosphere in this strange land was not like that of her home, here the pollution ran rampant. Trees cried out for nourishment; soil, dry and spent, surrounded her like a cloud of death. Rivers which should gurgle instead drove heavily into the rocks, trying to clean themselves. The empathetic impact of each part of nature hit her hard. She prayed for the burst of energy needed to scale the stairs to her love—before he said ‘I do’. 

Oh yay!  My muse has returned.  The past month and a half she's been buried under a difficult move and had decided to take her own private siesta...lucky bugger.  She returned when the hardest part of my move was done.  Now I just have to unpack!

Song of the Day:  One Night in Bangkok by Murray Head.  I sure dig this song, but I must have heard it on a commercial or TV show lately and it was stuck in my head.  Thus, I did a little download this morning!  :D
