Thirsty ~GAG~ Thursday

Okay, so when I decided to try a Thirsty Thursday blog I was determined to click on my random drink finder and blog the drink that popped up...and I have.

However, this weeks IMHO is just plain nasty from name to ingredients. I don't see myself drinking it or even ordering it with a straight face, but I would love to know if anybody out there has had one or will order one in the next few weeks...hehe

Without further ado~

LOL...note the lack of mixing instructions. I'm guessing no one would really care how it's mixed as they'd already be three sheets by the time they drank it!

I am a workshop junkie...

Yeah, you read that right...

I am a workshop junkie!!!

I love taking interesting workshops from writers/editors/publishers/others who have been were I am now. Everyone has such a different take on how to make a story work that I find myself using bits and pieces of every workshop I attend in my own process.

Hey, go with what works, right. ;-)

So I thought I'd share the next workshop I'm attending. It looks awesome!

You can check it out below or at the following website:

Who am I...an answer

Good Monday morning!

I'm back with the answer to the Friday riddle.

Before I share, let me ask. How did you do? Was the answer obvious or are you still puzzling it out? Or maybe you caught the same TV show as me and knew the answer after reading the first line. ;-)

I am the beginning of eternity.
The end of rhyme.
The beginning of every end.
The end of space and time....

Who am I?

The answer is E. Yep, that's it. The letter E.

Well duh, huh. hehehe

Have a great Monday!

How about a riddle to end the week?

Who am I?

I am the beginning of eternity.
The end of rhyme.
The beginning of every end.
The end of space and time....

Who am I?

Answer on Mon...
Have fun.

Thirsty Thursday

So last Thursday I posted the ingredients for a Pink Gin.

Did anyone try it?

Was it the best thing you've ever had or did you want to gag? I have to be honest, I didn't even try it. Gin is just not the liquor of choice for me...to dry.

Hopefully, this weeks drink will be better.

Drum roll........

Here it is,

Of course, it's just so simple....

I had an AH ha moment this morning while working on edits to my WIP. I was stunned when it hit me. All I could think of was, why didn't I see it before?

Woo Hoo, I finally found the last piece of my story. ~happy dance, happy dance~ Yeah baby, woot woot.......

Wait, crap, arrrrgggg

This means I have to dismantle my story, again! ~sigh~

I was so close to calling it good and submitting it and now it has to be taken apart again. How many more hours/days/weeks will it be until I finish this time. Once I'm done, will I find something else?

Maybe, but I'm not going to worry about then, I'm going to focus on now! This new info must be added to make the story everything it should be. I'll deal with then when it comes.

Wish me luck! :-)

Thirsty Thursday!

So in college Thursday nights was the drinking night of choice and of course we called it Thirsty Thursday...(LOL, weren't we smart...No Comment)

Yes, we drank on Friday's and Saturday's and any night of the week we decided to blow off our course work, which was many, but Thursday's it was like an unwritten rule-see and be seen at the bar or go home! (again, smart right...No Comment)

Now that I'm ~cof~ not a college student anymore, I thought it might be fun to relive some of those Thirsty Thursday's by posting random drink recipes...maybe you'll finally find out the name for the crazy-assed concoctions you use to make. ;-)

First up...

~Pink Gin~

Ingredients:
3 dashes
Bitters
2 oz
Gin (Plymouth)
Mixing instructions:
Pour the bitters into a wine glass. Swirl the glass to coat the inside with the bitters, shake out the excess. Pour the gin into the glass. Do not add ice.

Hum, not sure it's for me...at least at the beginning of the night. All bets were off by the end...LOL

Have a good day!

What a Sunday!

I have to start this blog by saying that I am still in a state of utter amazement!

My life is normally quite busy, much like others lives I would guess, but lately it's been feeling like I'm running more than I'm doing anything else. Kidlet to school, back from school, to friends home from friends, groceries, target, to the folks for cards, homework, breakfasts, lunches and dinners, writing, editing, walking dogs, dogs, dogs, kidlet, kidlet, kidlet, hubby, hubby and hubby...

~pant, pant~

I'm exhausted just writing it...

So when days like yesterday happen, I am ever so grateful! It started like most normal Sundays, what's for breakfast, can I play with my friend? Sure...

But then, she got an invite to her friends house. YAY Fun time for her and no screaming kids here...thanks friends mom and dad! What to do? oh yeah, grocery shopping...blah. Wait what is that in my cupboard? Chow mien? sweet! Dinner...hehe grocery's will wait.

What to do? Clean? Ah no way man! free time does not equal cleaning time to me!!

I could write.... oops hubby is now conquering some poor city....hum

It all became so clear then. Could I really do this? Just pick it up, go somewhere and get comfortable and just, just...read?

LOL...yes I can and boy did I. Four gloriously uninterrupted hours of reading. No guilt, no "mom" questions, no "wife" questions, just me, my book and quality quiet time!

I enjoyed it, gleefully!
