Terrific Tuesday - Subterranean Homesick Blues

Dig yourself is absolutely right!

Growing up around my home gave my brother and I one heck of a musical knowledge base, but not in a learning to play or write music kind of way.  It was more an immersing experience.  We listened to the greats, the goods, the not so goods and everything in between.

Our folks loved music!  A fact I am still grateful for today even though I boggles Darling Diva's mind that I just can not and will not pick one favorite song...  I mean how could I pick?

DD is starting to learn why I can't pick, though.  I turned the question around on her the other day and she said "Oh I like song A, but I like song B, too."  The light flickered behind her eyes in that music loving center of our brains...yeah, she's starting to get it.  I just love watching the love of music grow in her.  ~smile~

Here though is a Bob Dylan song that I've always been partial too.

Enjoy!  and have a Terrific Tuesday

Subterranean Homesick Blues

Johnny’s in the basement

Mixing up the medicine

I’m on the pavement

Thinking about the government

The man in the trench coat

Badge out, laid off

Says he’s got a bad cough

Wants to get it paid off

Look out kid

It’s somethin’ you did

God knows when

But you’re doin’ it again

You better duck down the alley way

Lookin’ for a new friend

The man in the coon-skin cap

By the big pen

Wants eleven dollar bills

You only got ten

Maggie comes fleet foot

Face full of black soot

Talkin’ that the heat put

Plants in the bed but

The phone’s tapped anyway

Maggie says that many say

They must bust in early May

Orders from the D.A.

Look out kid

Don’t matter what you did

Walk on your tiptoes

Don’t try “No-Doz”

Better stay away from those

That carry around a fire hose

Keep a clean nose

Watch the plain clothes

You don’t need a weatherman

To know which way the wind blows

Get sick, get well

Hang around a ink well

Ring bell, hard to tell

If anything is goin’ to sell

Try hard, get barred

Get back, write braille

Get jailed, jump bail

Join the army, if you fail

Look out kid

You’re gonna get hit

But users, cheaters

Six-time losers

Hang around the theaters

Girl by the whirlpool

Lookin’ for a new fool

Don’t follow leaders

Watch the parkin’ meters

Ah get born, keep warm

Short pants, romance, learn to dance

Get dressed, get blessed

Try to be a success

Please her, please him, buy gifts

Don’t steal, don’t lift

Twenty years of schoolin’

And they put you on the day shift

Look out kid

They keep it all hid

Better jump down a manhole

Light yourself a candle

Don’t wear sandals

Try to avoid the scandals

Don’t wanna be a bum

You better chew gum

The pump don’t work

’Cause the vandals took the handles

Tuesday Temptation - Trueblood

And a Tasty Tuesday Temptation to all you supernatural lovers out there...

I just finished watching the second season of Trueblood and I just knew the series in general had to be this Tuesday's Temptation.  Vampires, Cajun yumminess and Vampires!  Yep, I said vamps twice cause they are bloody bodacious!  ~wink~

It's a toss up for me though...Eric or Bill, Eric or Bill, Eeeeeeric or Biiill.  I can't decide.  Maybe it's Eric and Bill!  Muahahahahah

If you get a chance give Trueblood a rent and see what you think.

Have a Tempting Tuesday!

Nature's Fury

Fast, focused and quite fearsome, tornado's pack a one-two punch.  First, the immediate destruction that rips apart homes and business', destroys trees and makes its own path of rage upon the earth.  The second punch comes later, when you realize how much has been lost to Nature's fury...and are also grateful for what has remained.

Blessings and positive thoughts going out to everyone affected by yesterday's tornado activity.

Tuesday Temptation - A Staged Affair by Gem Sivad

King Colton rules his 10,000 acre Texas ranch, needing no one until he meets a flame-haired Shakespearean actress who steals his heart.

Anna Fuller gives up the stage for their passionate affair. Sparks fly and a battle begins where love is the prize and sex is the ultimate weapon.

Whew!  This is for sure a Tuesday Temptation not to be missed.   Gem Sivad has one heck of a knack for bringing sexy and erotic fun to the old west!

With King Colton and Anna Fuller, we get action, fiery tempers, sizzling sex and best of all, a hero and heroine with matching temperaments.  Their playful banter and sometimes head-butting ways, make getting to the end of the book a hell of a lot of fun!
