So I'm going away for a long weekend...

Yep, going to the lake for some R&R. Why then does that leave me with a sour stomach?

Could it be that I'll have no access to a computer let alone an Internet connection for three whole days? Or that my idea of R&R is worlds different than the family I'm going with? Or maybe its that in addition to five adults and one child we will be taking along five small dachshunds with really big attitudes!!

On the upside, we'll be safe from the grizzly's! LOL Have you heard that one...Five small doxie pups together can take down a full grown grizzly...really? My short, stubby legged little spunksters are hell on rabbits, but really a bear? I, erhm, kinda doubt it! hehe

Since I'm not really that concerned about bear attack, I think my questionable interest in the weekend trip, stems from one and two...

One, I love my Internet and computer. Being logged on is relaxing for me, plus I have a daily routine that I am very, very use too. It will probably do my addiction some good to be away for a short time, but it will be frustrating to not be working on the WIP and sadly I still don't have a laptop....oh well, I'll survive. :)

Two, on a scale of 1 - 10, my idea of R&R is a 1 while my families is a 10. A fact I know they they are fully aware of, but have great hopes of changing. LOL See, give me a hammock, a blanket, several books, and a camera to document the beauty of the peace around me and I'm good. Relaxation, here I come!! Now, for the rest of family, biking, hiking, golf and other active-ities are the only way to go...

It's bound to be an interesting weekend.

Have a great "long" weekend everyone!

  1. Have fun??!! I'm the same way about the computer. Sigh.

  2. Serena, think of it as a gathering trip for your stories... and watch out for those bears. They just might outsmart the daschunds.

  3. Hi Lynda,
Thanks! I'm going to have a good time, I'm going to have a good time and NOT think about my computer!! hehehe

You have a great weekend, I can't wait to get back and see some more awesome sculptures! Especially the native american beauties...they're my favorites.:)

  4. Hey Savanna,
Yes, you are right..this will be an excellent time for me to gather up my characters and story ideas and listen to all of their pitchs. My goal, come home rested and full of story ideas waiting to be written!! :) Thanks

LOL...yes I will watch out for the bears just in case my troop of five doxie babies fall down on the job!

Oooh...make sure Tanner keeps all his toes in line as well, I'd "hate" to have to take the leather to him. ;)
