Wednesday Word of the Day
Augury (au-gu-ry)
noun :: The art or practice of foretelling events; divination.
noun :: An omen; prediction; prognostication; indication of the future; presage.
~Hmmm, I once started a story about a lady wolf who practiced the art of augury...I need to find that again and see what else Branwen has to tell me for her story. :) Silly fact: I can't say the word divination without attaching a really bad English accent to it! LOL ~

I can't hear the word divination without thinking of Harry Potter. lol!
ReplyDeleteAugury is back there in my memory, but I've never used it in a story... yes, I do remember Branwen.
ReplyDeleteDivination makes me think of Sybil Leek, a real witch.
