Wednesday's Word of the Day

bijou \BEE-zhoo\, adjective:

1. Something small, delicate, and exquisitely wrought.

noun:
1. A jewel.

Funny, I seem to remember this word being used in reference to ye ol' movie house.  You know, "How about you and me go down to the bijou, Mary Sue?"  :)

  2. I remember 'bijou' being used as a reference to a jewel. I also fell in enchantment with that word the first time I saw it as a kid.

  3. Hey Savanna,
I totally agree, it is an enchanting word for jewel. Hmm, I wonder how it would work as a heroines name? :)
