Wednesday Word of the Day

splenetic \spli-NET-ik\, adjective:
1. Irritable; peevish; spiteful.
2. Of the spleen.
3. Archaic: Affected with, characterized by, or tending to produce melancholy.

~Okay, I get number one...heck sometimes I am number one!  lol  But 'Of the spleen' does that mean the spleen is an irritable; peevish; spiteful organ?  Can organs like the spleen, liver, kidneys be associated with feelings?~

  2. Actually, having done a bit of study on the use Chinese Herbal formulas, the liver is associated with anger. That is, if your liver is under stress, not healthy, and if you take corrective and balancing herbs, then that eliminates too much anger. I've seen it work, too.

But, yeah, I'm feeling spelnetic at the moment!
