Calories: 213 • Fat: 4.7 g Protein: 27.5 g Carb: 12.7 g Fiber: 0.4 g

  • 8 medium chicken drumsticks, skin removed
  • olive oil spray (I used my Misto)
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tbsp Sriracha hot sauce (more or less to taste)
  • 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 4 tsp agave nectar (or sugar)
  • 3 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 tsp ginger, grated
  • 2 tbsp chives or scallions, chopped
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds

In a heavy large saucepan, brown chicken on high for 3-4 minutes with a little spray oil. Add water, balsamic, soy sauce, agave, garlic, ginger, hot sauce and cook on high until liquid comes to a boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer, covered for about 20 minutes. Remove cover and bring heat to high, allowing sauce to reduce down, about 8-10 minutes, until it becomes a thick glaze, turning chicken occasionally. (Keep an eye on glaze, you don't want it to burn when it start becoming thick) Transfer chicken to a platter and pour glaze on top. Top with chives and sesame seeds and serve.

~Mmmm now doesn't that look yummy!  I took chicken out for dinner tonight, but I'm just so bored with the ways we usually make it, I could cry.  I want to try something fresh and new as long as it's easy peasy.  See I hate cooking.  LOL  Yes, I hate to cook, yet I'm bitching about the same old same old we do with our meals.  I guess I need to get over my disinterest in traditional kitchen activities and find a way to start liking the task...then, will the meals get better?  ;) ~

Tuesday Temptation - Young Love, er Lust?

So, in preparation for today's blog, I got to thinking about some of the many different temptations I've had in my lifetime.  The one that popped into my head this morning as I drove my daughter to summer school was clean and clear, with  a little bit of naughty.

Young love, with a kick of lust on the side.

I remember one of my very first bouts of young love, my heart felt bigger on the inside somehow, more sensitive and needy.  I was sure that he was the one for me and that we would ride off on his motorbike in a happy ever after to rival even the great lovers of the past.

Today, I don't remember his name, what he looked like or if that bike was a motorbike or a motorcycle, but I do remember that feeling.  That temptation you just can't stop wanting.  The love and lust that wakes up all your youthful receptors and says, "Howdy do, doll, welcome to the teenage years!"

There's a verse in Aerosmith's song Young Lust that nails the feeling down for me.  Check it out and if you'd like check out the video up top:  Young Lust by Aerosmith (live)

Young Lust, you're dying and you're screamin' inside
Oh, you're guilty way before you've been tried
And it's crazy but you're diggin' it
Ooohh

Have a tempting day!

Time...don't let it slip away....

One thing my friends and family know about me is my insane love of all things Aerosmith. Many of their songs are playing somewhere in the background as I write. They inspire such naughty things in me!

Well guess what, they are coming back to town this Sept!!!!

Folks, if you have never been to a live Aerosmith show, get a ticket. These guys will rock your socks off! I've been to a fair number of concerts over the years, but theirs is the best! It's two hours of heart thumping, ass shaking, sex clenching pleasure! By the time it's over, you'll be wondering where their next show is and how long will it take to get there!

Here's a link to tour dates.

And if you have a few, check out this video where they talk about making Nine Lives.

How can I not like this band!!
