Sia ran. Yards of unblemished silk and tulle weighed her down, impeding her escape. The checkerboard walk and walls of hedge extended to never ending. Birds laughed at her panic. She wasn't ready for the gathering family, the priest or the vows. The white death had arrived, in search of its unloved minion.
Sia ran faster. He would have to catch her first...
